A 15-YEAR-OLD Pakenham teen last seen at Pakenham railway station a week ago is being urged to come home.
Taylah Tahi, who goes by the name of ‘Turtle’ was dropped off at the station at 7am on Wednesday 25 March to catch a bus to school. The 15-year-old did not attend school that day and has not been seen or heard from since.
Senior Sergeant Nathan Prowd said “there are no suspicious circumstances” involved in Taylah’s disappearance, but police and family are concerned for her welfare as she did not take her phone or money when she left.
“If there is an issue in a young person’s home life, running away is not the best option in dealing with things,” he said.
“There are a lot of support services out there to provide assistance.”
Sen Sgt Prowd said several members of the community have reported seeing the teenager since her disappearance and urge her to contact police.
“If anyone comes across Taylah, please advise her to contact police to make sure she is safe. She is not in trouble with the police and has a number of people who are concerned for her welfare,” he said.
Taylah is described as Caucasian in appearance, 160cm tall with a fair complexion and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing black leggings and a grey jumper.
Anyone who sees Taylah is urged to call police immediately.
