THE annual Lang Lang Show and Rodeo brought in the crowds this Easter with around 2500 people watching Bryden Atkins win the open bullride event and take home the biggest prize of $1600.
Secretary Cheryl Berry was delighted the rain held off and that there were no injuries from the boisterous bulls.
“We had two injuries, one was treated and he then went on to ride a bull and the other was sent to hospital with a suspected broken bone, both fell off horses not bulls,” she said.
Ms Berry said entries were down across the board in all events.
“Apparently, entries were slightly down across Victoria and because our rodeo is the last over Easter, a few previous injuries prevented riders from competing in ours, it just made the day a little bit shorter,” she said.
The family day provides something for everyone, including second division bull riding for less-experienced riders and barrel racing and steer roping for the ladies.
“It was still a spectacle event and great family day out,” she said.
