Thanks for toleration

We have just had Easter 2015.
Although (thank the Lord) Australia doesn’t have a state religion, we think of ourselves as a Christian country.
Certainly, our laws and way of life follow Christian ethics, including tolerance.
Easter is a very popular holiday, but these days it is celebrated in a religious fashion only by a minority.
Parallel with the decreasing adherence to the religious basis of Easter, we have seen an increase in the non-Christian proportion of our population.
It will test our tolerance and good nature to accept and welcome the celebration of the many faiths in our society.
