THE Pakenham boys played a good game against Ringwood (6), chasing their opposition to all corners of the court while staying in touch on the scoreboard. Euan Grierson and Sam MacDonald got amongst the points in the first half and with consistent work in the paint, Christopher Kirk took the Warriors to the front at half time by five points.
During the third quarter, Massimo Moretti and Bryce Short kept the opposition honest with some good work changing defence into offence.
The last quarter went down to the wire with Ringwood making a few changes that rattle the Warriors. The scoreboard was evenly balanced with only two minutes to go but the Pakenham boys went down to the slimmest of margins- the final score Pakenham 23-Ringwood 24.

THE Pakenham boys came out strong in the first quarter leading 17-10, but the third quarter didn’t go their way, letting the opposition back into the game and bringing the lead down to only two points. In the last quarter Cody Fredrickson went to the line with one second to go and scores tied managing to sink one of his two free throws to win the game 43-42.

THE Pakenham boys started well against Sandringham but could not capitalise. The half-time scores saw Pakenham (2) leading 15-8. The second half also continued well thought the side tired towards the end, to still take the win Pakenham (2) 45 to Sandringham (4) 37.
16.4 Boys
THE Warriors started strong with awesome defence from J. McNiff and R. Douglas. The side continued to play well in the second and third quarters, though the score got away from them a little, J. Mase, M. Lee and B. Griffiths remained cool to direct some great plays, J. Bau also contributing with some fantastic steals. The fourth quarter was very tight, the Warriors got within two points but time was ultimately not on their side – final score 32-28.
18.3 Boys
IT WAS a fantastic effort from the boys to claw back victory and win this game by four points. The boys went into the game undermanned against third-place side McKinnon.
Following a big first quarter McKinnon slowed the Pakenham offense to bring it to within a two-point game by the half. But the boys came out after the break fired up and ran over the top of McKinnon in the final half to record a 20 point win, 51-31.
Matt Templeton was key in controlling the tempo down the stretch, while Nick Spezza with some big shots from outside the arc and Matt Berkec with three big defensive plays in the last two minutes made sure the result was never in doubt. The Warriors secure second spot on the ladder.
