GARFIELD GOLF
THE May monthly medal was played on Saturday with a large field of 98 teeing up in glorious autumn conditions.
Peter Marquis did best playing off his handicap of 23 giving him a net score of 64 to take home the coveted green shirt awarded to all monthly medalists. Peter also won a $100 voucher courtesy of this month’s sponsor Shanikas Restaurant of Berwick.
Stephen Ing also had a fine round of 64 nett to take out the B-Grade event playing of his handicap of 20, while Geoff Turner won A Grade with a nice 67 nett. All players shooting 68 or better were awarded down the line balls to a count-back.

MIDWEEK
ON THURSDAY Ian Archer returned to the winners list with a score of 39 stableford points, whilst Geoff Roberts claimed the second division with a great score of 43 points playing off his handicap of 20. A total of seven other players went down the line with scores of 37 points or better.
Leesa Matthews did best for the ladies by scoring a 74 nett to defeat Megan Barker on a count-back.
