A YOUNG Berwick man’s dreams are coming true after a television series he starred in scooped up a Logie on Sunday.
Nineteen-year-old Rahart Sadiqzai, or Rahart Adams to his millions of fans throughout America is taking the television world by storm.
But before he was making it big overseas, the Berwick boy was making waves in Australia, playing the lead part of Sam Conte on ABC’s children series Nowhere Boys.
The show won a Logie for the Most Outstanding Children’s Program.
Rahart told the Gazette earlier this year that one of his goals was to receive awards in recognition for the work he has achieved as an actor and hoped to be one day acting side by side with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
“I have only touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of what I want to achieve in my career,” he said.
“There are so many people I want to work with- Robert DiNero, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman.
“(Hugh Jackman) is one of my influences. He comes from a good family like me, who supports him. He never lets anyone hold him back I don’t want anything to hold me back. I like the person he is. He doesn’t let Hollywood get to his head. I try to stay grounded and always take a step back to be thankful for what I have.”
Besides staring in Nowhere Boys, Rahart has appeared on a number of commercials, landed a guest-role as Alistair O’Loughlin on Neighbours and scored the role of a lifetime when he was cast at Jax Novoa on Nickelodeon’ popular show Every Witch Way.
Rahart recently finished shooting a Nickelodeon movie in Vancouver, Canada, and splits his time between Miami and LA.
