THE Koowerup Bypass ushered in a new era of smooth holiday traffic during peak times. Or has it?
On Monday night, the picture looked much the same as any other long weekend with traffic banked back along the South Gippsland Highway to Caldermeade.
The slow passage through Kooweerup wasn’t to blame this time, rather the road works that are part of the resurfacing of the highway.
With no more major holidays until the newly created AFL Grand Final long weekend in September, here’s hoping that this is the last taste of traffic problems for the area.
