Life in the deep cold

PROBUS Pakenham had a lively meeting on Friday 5 June with Associate Professor Karli Verghese presenting about her Antarctic experience.
Prof Verghese is a principal research fellow at the Centre for Design and Society at RMIT University.
Her presentation included an insightful narrative supported by maps, photography and a video explaining the lifestyle in Antarctica.
To add to their meeting, two members reached 20 years of membership to the club and were presented with pins to commemorate the achievement. These members were Norma Dixon and Lyn Stephenson, the current Probus Pakenham president.
The Probus Pakenham group meets on the first Friday of each month at 9.30am at Pakenham Bowls Club, Anderson Street, Pakenham.
