THUMBS Down stories don’t often lead to About Towns, but we luckily had a silver lining to an otherwise morbid ordeal.
Sandy Anderson’s daughter saved a baby wombat whose mother had been hit by a car and left critically injured on Trevor Road in Nar Nar Goon.
Named after Sandy’s daughter, Crystal the baby wombat has been saved with the help of Hodge Podge Lodge Wombat Rescue.
Sandy urges people to get help if they hit an animal or see an injured animal.
Wildlife Victoria can be contacted on 1300 094 535 to report any wildlife emergency.
Baby Crystal is doing well with other baby wombats.
