Minions
Rated: PG
Starring: Chris Renaud, Pierre Coffin, Michael Keaton, Sandra Bullock and Geoffrey Rush.

KEVIN, rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob embark upon a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock), the world’s first-ever female super-villain.
They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of minionkind…from annihilation.
Yep after months and months of promotion and two amazingly funny trailers, (the Geoffrey Rush narrated one is still a crack up) Minions is finally here.
Must be the school holidays right??
Like Christmas’ Penguins of Madagasgar, this is a spin-off a highly popular animated movie series – in this case, the delightful Despicable Me.
And while in the past they have just been, well minions, our little yellow friends are now up-front and centre in their own movie which is set BG – before Gru.
After serving a series of disastrous bosses over the years, they search out the ultimate in super-villains (via an appearance at Villain-Con – which adds an extra giggle for anyone who has ever attended a pop-culture festival anywhere) – the brilliantly evil Scarlet Overkill (did Bullock have too much fun making this movie?). “BANANA!!!!”
This is one of those “spot the actor movies” although in this case it’s listen out for……Steve Coogan, Jennifer Saunders, Alison Janney, Jon Hamm and of course Steve Carrell (who turns up as a younger version of his Despicable Me character Gru.
Written by Brian Lynch the man behind Puss In Boots and Hop – this is a chance for the little yellow guys to step up and shine.
