Bigger bins for streets

By Rachel Bethune

CARDINIA Shire Council is introducing bigger litter and recycling bins in public places including parks and streets.
The new bins will be made available in time for waste contractor J.J Richards who takes over rubbish collection from Wednesday 1 July 2015.
The current 40 and 60 litre open top bins in public places will be replaced with 120 and 240 litre bins, while bins from some previous locations will be removed altogether.
Cr Wilmot is confident that that the new changes will greatly improve Cardinia Shire’s litter and recycling collection service in public facilities.
