GENELLE Bevan from Immerse Photography in Berwick is the subject of this week’s Gazette Take 10.
When asked to provide something that most people would not know about her, she came up with the curious case of the rat in the pencil case from her school days.
It’s a ripper yarn. Enjoy!
“I’m terrified of rats – total phobia. We had a pet rat called Itchy in the Year 12 Chemistry room. I managed to sit as far away from it as possible and not give any indication I was convulsing everytime I looked that way. Anyway, one of the guys in my class got wind of my phobia somehow and decided while I was at the library to put Itchy in my pencil case. I got back to my desk and my pencil case started wriggling. I actually fell backwards off my chair trying to get out of the classroom and vomited in the bin in the hall way. Needless to say the pencil case went into the bin.”
