Dwyer’s Gods offside

DROUIN GOLF

GRAHAM Austin continued his recent run of excellent form when he won A Grade on a count-back with +4. While Shane Dwyer must be wondering how he has offended the golfing gods – he was runner-up on Saturday and Wednesday.
In B Grade the winner, also on a count-back, was Jock Granger with +4, while balls down the line went to; Shane Dwyer +4, Henk Van Deuren +4, Ron Noncentini +3, George Shand +3, Jason Stirzaker +3, Bobbie Batten +3 and Ray Haley +3. Nearest the pins were; Paul Lunt 5th, Paul Matthews 8th, Harvey Smith 10th, and George Renye 14th and pro pin. Club captain Kevin Thorpe had an eagle on the first.
MIDWEEK
ON WEDNESDAY, Mark Bowman won A Grade on count-back with 42, while Mike Waring took out B Grade with 42. Balls down the line went to; Shane Dwyer 42, Joe Kirby 41, Peter DeVries 40, Max Corby 40, Simon Appleby 40 and Gavan Feaver 40. Zac Bambridge had 32 and given he is only eight it was a fine effort. It won’t be long before he is in the winner’s circle.
