Squares multiply for warmth

HOW far does a ball of wool go?
From one square that a lady knitted, several blankets were eventually made, helping the penniless have a warm winter. It was all started by a lady called Neve Bon, who bought a ball of wool and knitted the first square.
She then knitted square upon square, until she reached the two hundred mark, and thought it was time to “move them along!”
A friend in Bunyip who said she knew some ladies at Saint Thomas’ who could use them.
The blanket then went to the ladies who crocheted and edged the blanket to form six separate blankets.
The six blankets were different with several colours and patterns which really highlighted a unique, special, warm feel to them.
The blankets were then sent to the Drouin Anglican Op Shop which then gave them to the Outreach Program.
Outreach distributed them to the underprivileged in their local community to help them have a warmer, more comfortable winter. This gesture all started with a lady who knitted one single square.
It shows a charitable community which has the capacity to help those less fortunate to live a little more comfortably.
The Drouin Anglican Op Shop would like to give a warm thankyou to everyone who has contributed to this great achievement. They really appreciate everyone’s thoughtfulness.
