Accused to contest stalking charges

A 39-YEAR-OLD man has faced court this morning over multiple charges of following and photographing female victims.
Among 13 stalking charges, the man is alleged by Cardinia CIU detectives to have photographed two named victims in Pakenham on 2 February.
He was also charged with taking pictures of unknown females, and an unknown male and female, in Pakenham in November and December.
Other victims were allegedly photographed by the accused at Smiths Beach, Wonthaggi and Cape Woolamai in November and December.
He was also charged with possessing fireworks in Pakenham on 11 March.
Defence lawyer Nadine Daniel told the court that the accused would plead not guilty to some of the charges.
The accused, whose name and address cannot be published due to a magistrate’s order, faces a contest mention in Dandenong Magistrates Court on 18 August.
