Lardner Park votes in new chairwoman

New chairwoman Angela Betheras.

AT THE recent Lardner Park Events AGM held on Monday 20 July, Angela Betheras was voted in as the new chairwoman of Lardner Park Events.
Angela became a director of Lardner Park Events in 2011 and has been vice-chairwoman to outgoing chairman Joe Meggetto for the past two years.
Following executive roles with the Just Group and Coles Myer, Angela set up an alpaca farm and agritourism business Nickelby at Darnum.
In 2011 she was awarded the prestigious RIRDC Victorian Rural Woman of the Year award.
Angela instigated the Women in Agriculture initiative which is now held on the first day of Farm World.
A total of 300 women attended the Women in Agriculture luncheon this year with keynote speakers Dame Quentin Bryce and Natalie Collard, the former CEO of Dairy Farmers Australia.
The current chairman of Farm World, Andrew Schreyer, was voted in as vice-chairman.
Andrew has worked as a chartered accountant for 10 years in Australia and overseas.
Andrew moved back to Warragul in 2005 and is currently the general manager of the Warragul and Drouin Gazette.
In 2014, 120 events were held at Lardner Park.
Lardner Park Events is currently formulating a new five-year strategy plan to continue the development of Lardner Park and the events undertaken.
