Police give short shrift

A PAKENHAM man has been arrested with about 50 pairs of allegedly-stolen men’s shorts in his vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say they arrested the 34-year-old in Berwick and found Hurley and Phantom-brand surf shorts worth about $2500 as well as other stolen property in the vehicle.
Casey Response and Tasking Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to locate the shorts’ owners.
