PAKENHAM is set to become a winter wonderland later this month with the exciting, upcoming Snow Queen’s Aussie Freezing Show.
At 3.30pm on Wednesday 30 September, Cardinia Cultural Centre will transform into a place of magic and fun as part of the hotly anticipated school holiday production.
The story revolves around the chaos in Snow Land after the mischievous Evil Jester runs away with the Snow Queen’s magic wand.
Detective Super Winston tries but fails to save the day and has to call for help from friends Funny Bunny, Captain Carrot and Solly the Snowman.
Director Brian Laul said the highly interactive show featured plenty of singing, dancing and special characters that would enchant children as they helped their favourite snow queen recover her lost magic wand so they can “all play in magical, falling snow“.
“Our shows are really about inviting kids to get up and move around, to relate to our music and to laugh and have a great time,“ Laul said.
In the pre-show entertainment, kids can sing along to hits from the movie Frozen and are encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite characters.
Program co-ordinator Christerine Laul said it was a show not to be missed.
“There’s something new to delight parents and children alike and a great theme of hope and self-esteem for the young,” she said.
Children are encouraged to bring a book or toy that will be donated to sick children as part of the Hospital Toy Appeal.
The show will be presented to the youngsters of Pakenham from the team behind the highly popular Wizard of Oz Show that has done over 4000 successful shows across the world.
Tickets range between $16 and $22 are available at the venues and Ticketek.
