WHEN Kelly Foreman, 28, moved interstate to Pakenham, there was something missing in her life.
But that spot has now been filled with her nine-month-old dachshund puppy, Frankie.
“The last six months of my life since getting Frankie have been absolutely amazing, just looking at her makes me happy and realise how lucky I am,” Kelly said.
“She is easily one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”
Frankie arrived in Melbourne after taking two flights from her breeder’s home in Toowoomba in Queensland.
Kelly said she and the loving pooch shared an instant bond.
“The connection between me and Frankie is a hard one to describe but I certainly couldn’t imagine life without her now. She is one amazing dog who has certainly changed my life,” she said.
Frankie loves to roam around Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick, as well as prance around the lake at Lakeside in Pakenham.
“One of the funniest things Frankie does is when walking on or through grass she bounds through and over it in the most excited manner, it really is one of the cutest things I have ever seen,” Kelly added.
Kelly, originally from Adelaide, has also converted Frankie into a Port supporter – a game she likes to watch from her ‘hot dog’ bed.
“She enjoys watching Port Adelaide football club play on TV and relaxing at local cafes,” she said.
Kelly said she was excited to introduce her little companion to her family in Adelaide at Christmas time this year.
The pair plan to make a road trip to the family home over the break.
