A BOOK launch held on Sunday 8 November at Meadowvale Retirement Village in Pakenham was attended by about nine guests of local author Norma Allen.
Norma, 93, had just published two books – “Peter Possum and Pals”, a children’s book of poems which she also beautifully illustrated, and “My Mother’s Memories”, an account of her family’s early years.
The Pakenham resident happily did book signings for family and friends at the afternoon tea launch event.
“I’m overwhelmed at the thought of having these books published at my age, but I am so pleased with the result,” Norma said.
She thanked everyone for their attendance, especially her three daughters Marlane, Vale and Bev for their help and encouragement.
Hopefully there will be many more great literary works from this talented and gracious lady.
