Houses burgled in daylight attacks

BURGLARS have smashed into and ransacked two Emerald homes in what is believed to have been daylight attacks occurring within days of each other.
Between 11am and 9.30pm on Saturday 21 November, a Majestic Drive home was targeted by burglars who smashed a sliding door located at the rear of the property before rifling through the owners’ property.
Police described the incident as a “ransack”, reporting offenders made off with electrical equipment, jewellery and a camera valued at $1800.
Days earlier, a home several hundred metres away was also targeted by offenders who made off with similar loot.
Between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday 18 November, offenders smashed open the rear laundry window of an Azalea Crescent home in Emerald.
Police said offenders ransacked the home, taking cash and jewellery.
