OFFENDERS went on a crime spree near the railway station in Pakenham over the weekend.
Between 9pm on Friday 4 December and 9am on Saturday 5 December, offenders smashed the glass at a bus stop located on Railway Avenue in Pakenham. Police believe the same offenders also threw a rock through the window of a medical centre located on Station Street.
Police said the window shattered as a result, though they did not believe offenders entered the Pakenham medical centre.
On trail of trailer thief
AN expensive trailer was stolen from a timber hardware business in Kooweerup overnight last week. Between 8pm on Thursday 3 December and 6am on Friday 4 December, a $6000 trailer was stolen from the Station Street, Kooweerup premises. Police said offenders cut a padlock to the secured yard before making off with the custom-made trailer.
Display home ransacked
A DISPLAY home in Officer was ransacked by offenders who took their fill in new interior furnishings. Between 5.30pm on Wednesday 2 December and 11.30am on Saturday 5 December, offenders forced their way into a Clovelly Way display home. Police said offenders stole bed linen, wall-mounted pictures, pillows and towels to the value of $1000.
Electronics on a platter
A RANGE of expensive electronics left in clear view in an unlocked car in Pakenham was stolen by thieves in the night. Between 5pm and 10.30pm on Thursday 3 December, offenders stole an Apple laptop, iPhone, camera and camera lens from an unlocked 2000 Mazda parked on Bald Hill Road in Pakenham. Police estimated the stolen loot to be valued at $5500. It was left sitting on the backseat of the unlocked car at the time.
