PLANS have been unveiled for a one-hectare sized park at Officer’s Arcadia residential estate.
The $1 million park was designed by award-winning landscape artists and will feature barbecue facilities, free wi-fi, family seating areas and wide open spaces, as well as play equipment designed by specialist playground designer Ric McConaghy.
Satterley Property Group will start building the park later this year, with it hoped to be complete by mid-2017.
Victorian general manager of Satterley Jack Hoffmann said the new park would be part of 24 hectares of dedicated open space and parklands.
“Creating a community that encourages residents to have fun with their family and friends outdoors is central to everything we’re building at Arcadia, so I’m delighted to present the proposed plans for the new $1 million park,” he said.
“It’s an exciting time for Arcadia, which is fast becoming one of the most impressive developments in Melbourne’s South East.”
Over 200 lots have been sold at the development this financial year.
