IT WAS a sea of green in the Cardinia Waters Retirement Village Community Centre last Thursday with the celebration of St Patrick’s Day celebrated.
More than 200 residents and friends attended, and they were entertained by ‘The Wee Fellows’. The two-man band had the residents dancing to Irish Jigs, as well as some more formal dancing. With the tables decked out in green tablecloths and the bar selling a record amount of ‘Guinness’, the Village could have been mistaken for part of the Emerald Isle. A feature was a tear-jerking rendition of Irish favourite, O Danny Boy by resident Joyce Ede.
