Life skills against bullying

The entire Kooweerup Primary School community took a stand to stay no way to bullying.

KOOWEERUP Primary School marked the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence earlier this month with a range of activities for the students which focused on being co-operative, inclusive and developing their resilience.
“In the afternoon we held a special assembly which was well attended by our wider school community, where our school leaders presented speeches, video performances and role plays highlighting our stance against bullying and also reinforcing how we can deal with difficult situations we may find ourselves in,” said school principal Nathan Jagoe.
Bass MP Brian Paynter also attended and spoke to the students about the importance of becoming a confident and resilient person who has the skills to deal with these challenges in school and other facets of day-to-day life.
