THE Wally Wombat Trail passport competition at this year’s Parklea Pakenham and District Agricultural and Horticultural Show on 19 March was a roaring success with local businesses getting well and truly into the spirit.
Kathy Burgstahler of Kathy Burgstahler Real Estate generously donated $500 to go towards prize money for the three selected winners of the day.
Wally Wombat passports with completed stamps went into the major prize.
This year winners had a choice of prize, while supporting the community at the same time, by nominating a local store, franchise outlet, restaurant or business to spend their prize money at via the gift card sponsored by Kathy Burgstahler Real Estate.
Ms Burgstahler wanted to not only donate a prize to the lucky winners but also encourage them to use that prize money within the local community.
BJ Brougham from Lakeside Pakenham won the first prize and chose gift cards to the value of $300 from Rebel Sport in Fountain Gate.
Dino, on behalf of Jacqui Maio, of Pakenham won the second prize and chose Coles Myer cards to the value of $150, and Kira Chahwan, also of Pakenham, won third prize and opted for a $50 voucher from Big W.
They also received balloons and Easter eggs as part of their prizes.
