Throat cut in concrete cutter accident

The blade became jammed and cut the man''s neck.

A MAN’S throat was cut by a concrete cutter blade in a Bunyip industrial accident that is under investigation.
The 26-year-old Warragul man was flown to The Alfred hospital where his injuries were treated.
The man was using a concrete cutter at a Riverside Drive, Bunyip worksite about 4pm on Wednesday 13 April when the blade was thought to have jammed.
From there, the blade has jolted and cut the man in the neck.
Pakenham police Senior Sergeant Nathan Prowd said the injuries were non-life threatening, however he was flown to hospital for treatment.
“He is very lucky,” he said.
WorkSafe is investigating the incident.
