Van destroyed in fire

ONE of two vans stolen from a Pakenham supplier is believed to be that found burnt out and destroyed in a Cardinia paddock.
Police found the destroyed and deserted van less than 24 hours before finding a stolen car gutted by flames at Elephant Rock in Emerald.
The van – which police believe to be one taken from the Pakenham business on Monday 30 May – was discovered burnt out in a paddock near Wenn Road, Cardinia, about 9am on Sunday 5 June.
Police said two white fiat commercial panel vans were stolen from the store on 30 May.
They were each valued at $30,000 and one is still missing.
In the early hours of the next morning, police found another car completely destroyed by fire at the top end of the shire, in Emerald.
The Holden van was found burnt out in the Elephant Rock car park, about 6.40am on Monday 6 June.
Police believe the vehicle had been stolen from Emerald or the surrounding area.
