MONDAY 20 June was World Refugee Day, and Living and Learning Pakenham celebrated the day in true multicultural style.
The centre hosted guest speakers including Cardinia shire Mayor Jodie Owen who spoke about the shire promoting and encouraging migrants.
Other speakers included Bass MP Brian Paynter, Simon Dalton from the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and students of the Living and Learning Centre.
The Living and Learning Centre has classes for migrants to learn English and other classes which are designed to provide migrants with a way forward to getting work and into the community.
Gazette photographer Stewart Chambers was there to capture some of the moments on the day.
