AN ELDERLY driver has crashed into six cars after leaving a medical clinic in Berwick this afternoon.
Police said the woman, thought to be in her sixties, collided with two cars as she turned out of Casey Superclinic and onto Kangan Drive about 12.30pm on Wednesday 22 June.
A short time later, she accelerated and broke through a barbed wire fence at Chisholm Institute TAFE, hitting four parked cars.
TAFE student Nik Howe was on his way to class when he stumbled across the crash scene.
“One of my friends from class owned one of the cars that was most damaged,” the 20-year-old Pakenham resident said.
“All the cars are getting towed now.”
Mr Howe said eye-witnesses reported that the woman had appeared to experience an anxiety attack in between accidents.
Police and one ambulance were called to the scene.
Senior Sergeant Jarrod Cox of Narre Warren police said no injuries were sustained as a result of the collisions and the elderly driver was taken to Casey Hospital for assessment.
