AN EMERALD walking trail has been closed due to a “dangerous” tree which is on the verge of falling down.
Cardinia Shire Council released a statement advising those intending to go for a bush walk this weekend to steer clear of the multi-use trail between Nobelius Heritage Park and Emerald Lake Park’s lakeside car park.
The trail has been closed until further notice to remove the tree that was considered at risk of falling on the track “at any time”.
The tree is expected to be removed next week.
