AN UNLICENSED teen allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road crashed his car into an oncoming vehicle in Berwick before unsuccessfully attempting to flee from police on foot with his passengers.
Police alleged the unlicensed 19-year-old Narre Warren South man drove onto the wrong side of the Lyall Road when he saw police about 2.55am on Monday 11 July.
He crashed into an oncoming car before he and his passengers fled from their vehicle.
The 19-year-old was arrested a short distance away and is currently assisting police with their inquires.
Police said the driver of the other vehicle was uninjured in the crash.
