A MAN and woman out on bail were stopped on the Princes Highway, Officer, in a stolen car which contained stolen car number plates.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Detective Sergeant Phil Jury said the plates belonged to two cars parked in Mary Street, Officer, and were stolen sometime between 11.30pm on Thursday 14 July and when the car was intercepted about 4am the next morning.
At the time the 22-year-old Garfield woman and the 25-year-old Pakenham man were out on bail for matters before Mansfield Magistrates’ Court.
They were remanded to appear before Dandenong Magistrates’ Court over the number plate thefts.
