Crash teen succumbs

THE MARYKNOLL teenager involved in a serious single-vehicle crash in Longwarry North has died in hospital.
The 18-year-old was airlifted to The Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a tree along the Princes Highway, about 6.40pm on Sunday 24 July.
Police said the teen was travelling east on the highway and was believed to have crossed onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into the tree.
She was the 168th person to lose their life on Victorian roads this year, up from 142 this time last year.
