Car fire was suspicious

POLICE are treating an early morning car fire in Pakenham as suspicious.
At 2.24am on Monday 1 August, people living along Toomuc Valley Road near Hein Road reported loud explosions and crackling.
Firefighters and police were called to the site to find a Mazda engulfed in flames.
No-one was sighted at the scene.
Crews put out the flames and found a single registration plate.
Police said it hadn’t been linked to a stolen vehicle.
Inquiries are ongoing.
