DNA from Kylie Blackwood’s accused killer was allegedly found on her clothing, a court has heard.
Scott Alan Murdoch, 38, from Morwell, is accused of murdering Kylie Blackwood in her McCaffery Rise home in Pakenham on 1 August 2013.
He was arrested over her death in April.
On Tuesday 16 August, prosecutors told a hearing at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court that his DNA was allegedly found on the Pakenham mother of three’s clothing.
Her body was discovered by her twin daughters as they arrived home from school.
The court heard up to 20 people would be called at Murdoch’s upcoming committal hearing.
Murdoch was not present in court for the brief committal mention. It is expected he will contest the murder charge.
The case will return to court in the coming weeks.
