TOURISM operators are encouraged to come together for 2016 Casey Cardinia Tourism Conference later this month.
The conference is relevant to all new and established tourism and hospitality businesses, and in particular for restaurant and café owners, accommodation providers, event organisers, transport operators and personnel from tourism attractions and conference venues.
Casey Cardinia Tourism chair and Marketing manager at Puffing Billy Railway Nadine Hutchins encouraged tourism and hospitality operators to make the time and attend this one-day conference.
“We have pulled together a comprehensive program that will stimulate your thoughts and create many opportunities for you to improve and grow your business,” Nadine said.
Key speakers include Victoria Tourism Industry Council CEO Dianne Smith, acting director of Marketing from Visit Victoria Melanie de Souza, Despina Karatzias from the Institute of Excellence and Cardinia Shire CEO Gary McQuillan.
Lynne Trensky, of Eastern Dandenong Ranges Business and Tourism Group (EDRBT) and member of the Casey Cardinia Tourism Advisory Committee, said the conference built on the inaugural Casey Cardinia Tourism Forum held in 2015.
“After last year’s successful forum, we wanted to continue to enhance tourism operators levels of customer service and experience, as well as the desire to foster industry development,” Lynne said.
“So the aim of this conference is to provide a forum for attendees to network and collaborate with other tourism operators in our region and to maximise business opportunities,” she said.
The one-day conference is open to all tourism and hospitality operators, and is being held at the Atura Hotel Dandenong in Doveton on Tuesday 23 August from 9.30am to 4.30pm followed by networking and drinks in the Brownstone Microbrewery at the Atura.
The fee is $30 for members of Casey Cardinia Tourism and EDRBT Group and $60 for non-members.
This conference is supported by the City of Casey and Cardinia Shire Council.
