POLICE are yet to arrest the gunman responsible for the shooting attack at a Pakenham tattoo parlour last week.
A 9mm firearm is thought to have been used to fire 16 shots at Beautiful Body Art on Henry Street, Pakenham, about 12.30am on Tuesday 20 September.
Police believe at least one accomplice joined the gunman in the shooting rampage, but are yet to make any arrests.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Detective Sergeant Phil Jury said: “We are looking at a number of avenues of inquiry.”
CCTV footage captured shows two cars approach the business, speeding off in the opposite direction less than two minutes later.
Witnesses reported the vehicles were red and white.
Store owner Robyn Hansen, 47, from Berwick was at the scene hours after the drive-by shooting.
“Whoever did this is a coward,” she said.
Ms Hansen said she had been operating at the site for three-and-a-half years without issue, and did not know why anyone would wish to harm her or her business.
“There is no reason for this to have happened. I have no problems here,” she said.
Det Sgt Jury said it was a legitimate business.
He would not comment further on the investigation.
