Kooweerup man’s $800,000 ticket

A Kooweerup man has won just over $800,000 in TattsLotto.

A MAN in his forties from Kooweerup also kicked a winning goal on the grand final weekend after discovering his TattsLotto entry won a share of first division.
The overjoyed man, who scored a TattsLotto prize of more than $800,000 with his 50-game QuickPick ticket, said he couldn’t believe his luck.
“I just can’t believe it! I’m absolutely stoked!” he said.
“Every Sunday morning I check my TattsLotto tickets and I was at about game 17 when I was circling, circling, circling and realised I had circled every single number on that line.
“I went into total shock! I started shaking and shaking – even while I was jumping up and down!
“It’s actually a bit freaky because three years ago on grand final day I won a second division prize of about $15,000 with my 50-game QuickPick ticket as well!
“I’m a Tigers supporter so maybe next year they’ll win the grand final and I’ll win TattsLotto again!” he joked.
“It hasn’t hit me yet – it’s all too much to take in! I never thought I’d see a number like $800,000 in my bank account in my lifetime.
“There are just so many options now to think about. It’s fantastic!”
The man, who wants to remain anonymous, purchased his division one winning ticket from Kooweerup Newsagency.
Owner Cath Peterson said she was thrilled to have sold their first division one winning entry to a local customer.
“Good things certainly come in threes! We’ve now sold our first division one winning ticket on the third anniversary of our business opening – to the very date,” she said.
“It’s fantastic, we’re still saying ‘wow’.
“It’s great for the local community – it’ll give Kooweerup a good boost.
“The news of this win will no doubt lift the spirits in our rural community, particularly given our winning customer is a local. It’s a great feeling!”
An entry from Torquay also took home a first division prize of $802,261. The other three winning entries were from Queensland.
