A LARGE copperhead snake was spotted in Pakenham on Friday.
A Pakenham resident noticed the snake slithering in newly-cut grass along Toomuc Creek near Winneke Way, Heritage Springs.
Snake expert Raymond Hoser said the snake appeared to be a three-year-old, fully-grown female copperhead.
He advised that residents should be wary of snake hotspots including grass near golf courses, railway lines, creeks and scrub.
