Probus members on safari

The visitors out the front of Werribee Zoo.

A BUSLOAD of excited Pakenham East Probus members travelled to Werribee on Thursday 13 October to see the Open Range Zoo.
For some members it was a return visit but for others it was a first-time experience and none was disappointed.
Boarding one of the unique safari buses was exciting in itself and the feeling accelerated as they felt projected into the wilds of northern Kenya, the iconic savannah and the grasslands of Asia.
Spotting the animals was easy with ostrich, giraffe, zebra, rhino, and bison all happily sharing the same space.
On their return, it was a change of pace as they leisurely walked the meandering trails to the aloof gorillas, majestic lions, cheeky meerkats and enormous hippos, to name a few.
In brilliant sunshine, the animals were visibly happy and the visitors were happy which all made the day so enjoyable.
