PAKENHAM Probus Club members, each born in 1936, celebrated a special milestone together last week.
The eight friends all met through Probus and held a combined 80th birthday celebration on Friday 14 October.
Heather Farrell, Kath Whitty, Gillian Day, David Heynes, Margaret Turner, Val Lea, Joan Vogels and Val Hein shared a high tea at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, enjoying an array of sandwiches, quiches and sweets.
Heather Farrell said it was a special afternoon.
“It was seven of us ladies and one brave gentleman,” she said.
“We all turned 80 during the year.
“We hope to get to our 90ths and celebrate it all together in 10 years’ time.”
