String of charges laid

KNUCKLE dusters and drugs have been allegedly uncovered in a false-plated car intercepted in an under construction housing estate in Officer.
Pakenham police spotted a Holden Statesman with allegedly stolen plates driving along the Princes Highway about 1am on Monday 24 October.
They followed the car to Timbertop estate, intercepting it in Hedgevale Drive, Officer.
Police searched the car and allegedly located a number of items including a set of knuckle dusters.
The 45-year-old Coolaroo man was arrested and charged with handling stolen goods, possessing a drug of dependence, going equipped to steal, weapons offences, driving while suspended and other traffic-related offences.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court later that day.
