A LOCAL family will form their own legacy and memories in their newly purchased home which has come to be known as a town icon.
The Racecourse Road home owned by the Bourke family was sold to a family from the Pakenham area, who will soon get to work on the restoration project. They were one of two bidders for the property.
The home, built on the same land as the former racecourse in 1929, went to auction on Saturday 12 November.
