AGE is no barrier – just ask Kathleen.
The 61-year-old Beaconsfield woman recently showcased her fitness talents on an international stage.
And she won.
After being involved in competitive bodybuilding for just one year, Kathleen has taken out the Ultra Masters figure and physique champion title at the Natural Olympia in Las Vegas.
It’s not her first major fitness achievement.
She is currently the reigning INBA Australian Masters figure champion for 2015 and 2016.
Kathleen is an inspiration to many across the globe, particularly given her huge success as a mature competitor.
“I love this sport, I do it to stay fit, young and healthy,” she said.
“One needs to be dedicated and hungry to succeed, but I enjoy being an inspiration to others and proving age is not a barrier.”
Kathleen intends to recompete in the Olympia challenge again next year.
