VICROADS has warned Monash Freeway commuters that it could be a crawl home from the city this afternoon.
The two right outbound lanes have been closed near Waverley Road due to a collision at 3pm.
Traffic had already banked back to High Street by 3.20pm and is currently, as of 4.20pm, delayed until the Burnley Tunnel.
Emergency services are on scene.
It is not yet known when these lanes will re-open.
VicRoads advised motorists to consider using the Princes Highway as an alternative route.
