THE Gazette’s Wally Wombat is here to bring the Christmas spirit to Pakenham’s Main Street along with his friend Olivia the Christmas Elf and Santa Claus.
Father Christmas will make his grand entrance on a horse and carriage provided by Mill Valley Ranch, with Arthur Bartlett touring the Main Street and surrounding areas.
Tynong singers from the Corpus Christi Church will sing sweet Christmas carols throughout the streets.
Contributing organiser Jillian Ronald, representing Art Show Pakenham, said Olivia was one of six elves who would be handing out treats to good boys and girls.
“It has been a tradition for Santa to visit Pakenham on a horse and carriage, but this year will be extra special because he will be in a golden carriage,” she said.
“Children will have the chance to get up close to the horse and carriage and have pictures with Santa, his elves and Wally Wombat.”
Santa will be visiting Pakenham Main Street at 11am to 1pm on Thursday 22 December.
A raffle will be drawn at Bourke Park about noon, with prizes donated by local businesses.
