Two cars impounded on the same day

A PAKENHAM woman has had two cars impounded in a day after being caught twice driving while on a disqualified learner permit.
The 25-year-old first had a Ford Fairmont impounded after being intercepted on Princes Highway, Pakenham about 5pm on 30 December.
At 11.50pm she was intercepted again in a Holden Astra with false number plates.
A canister of capsicum spray was found inside.
Both vehicles were impounded for 30 days at $972 each in costs.
The driver was expected to be charged with traffic and weapon offences.
Police say they are targeting motorists as part of Operation Road Wise up to 8 January.
The operation focuses on the main causes of road fatalities such as excessive speed, driver distraction, fatigue and drink and drug driving.
