The underlined theme of a weekend retreat and a series of daily talks in early February is celebrate and experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Renowned preacher Brother Lalith Perera will conduct these talks and retreat from 7-12 February drawing from the scriptural line “Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom,“ 2 Cor 3:17.
The visiting preacher has been invited by Sale Bishop Patrick O’Reagan and the Community of the Risen Lord (CRL) which he leads under the patronage of Canberra Archbishop Christopher Prowse.
His visit has been facilitated by Our Lady Help of Christians Community, CRL and the Catholic Charismatic Renewal operating in south-eastern Melbourne.
The four-step retreat is on Saturday 11 February from 1.30pm-7pm and Sunday 12 February from10am-5pm at St Francis Xavier, Berwick Campus, 75 Ridgemont Drive, Berwick.
The daily talks will be from 7.30pm-9.30pm in various parishes in Melbourne.
On Tuesday 7 February he will be talking on “Walking above your struggles in the power of the Spirit“ at Sacred Heart Parish, St Albans.
On Wednesday 8 February, he will speak on “Hearing God’s voice in your daily life” at St Benedict’s Parish, Burwood.
On Thursday 9 February, the topic of his talk is “Discovering a new life with the fruits of the Holy Spirit“ at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 496 Princes Highway, Narre Warren.
“Opening yourself to the gifts of the Holy Spirit” will be the final topic on Friday 10 February at St Michael’s Parish, 119 High Street, Berwick.
