A small grass fire was started from a transformer in Pakenham on Wednesday afternoon.
Four fire appliances were called to Bald Hill Road at 1.10pm and quickly brought the blaze under control by 1.20pm.
A CFA spokesperson described the fire as “a small incident”.
Two trucks remain on scene and the extent of the damage is not yet known.
